Hey All,

It’s me, BubbaLuv. You’ve probably seen me around Erie doing my thing. Most of you recognize me as the biggest fan of many Erie Sports Teams. Well now, I’m the official ”Supafan” of the Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union (EGEFCU). I belong, and you can too! I’ve teamed up with the Erie General Electric FCU because they offer services in a way other banks can’t. If you’re interested in joining EGEFCU check out this link.

I have lived in Erie all my life! I’m a grandfather and a veteran of the gulf war. I am a big fan of the Erie BayHawks and have been a season ticket holder since they came to town. One day one of my friends dared me to wear a cape to one of the basketball games… So I did! I got a lot of funny looks, but people thought it was pretty cool and that I had courage to show my fandom. I decided to make it even better and wore oversized sunglasses and a wig that I found. As for the name, I tried out a few. Some of you know that I grew up with the nickname “Pumpkin’”, but that wasn’t cutting it for my new look.  One of my co-workers started calling me BubbaLuv and the name stuck!  I kept going to the BayHawks games and I even got to hang out with the BayHawks dance team with them eventually working me into some of their routines. It was pretty awesome! I’m a big believer in having fun and doing what you ‘luv’. Life is too short to not!

It was at a game when I met some of the wonderful people from Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union and we hit it off! I love Erie and have long been a supporter of credit unions for my personal banking.  It wasn’t long until I was banking with the GE Credit Union and before we both knew it, a “Supafan” was born!  I love what they stand for in our community and all the good they do.  We both have big plans to help young adults understand money and credit and we both believe in giving back to the many groups and neighborhoods where we call home.  Hopefully the Supafan will be a good way to meet the right people! The GE Credit Union gave me a much needed revamp. My duds were getting pretty worn and so we replaced my cape with a sequin “James Brown-style” one. I got some custom t-shirts and even some new sweatbands with bubbaluvsthat.com on them! My buds at the CU continue to hook me up with tickets and other goodies to give away to my fans. It has been a pretty wild ride and I have met a lot of awesome people!  I hope that you will look over this site and see that together, the GE Credit Union and I have been able to help some very deserving causes and we are just getting warmed up!
